PROJECT INSTIGATION

It all starts with a conversation. We’ll meet up for a chat to get to know you – so we can understand who you are, what you’re after, and the less glamorous but super-important details like budget and timeframe.​

Once we’ve delved into all that, we’ll create a design brief incorporating the scope of works for your approval. After this, we’ll put together a customised proposal, carefully tailored to your specific needs. The proposal will also contain the ‘fine print’ – our fees, and the terms and conditions of the contract.

CONCEPT DESIGN

It’s time to get down to business. We’ll do a site visit and, if drawings aren’t available, take measurements so we can produce detailed, to-scale floor plans.​

Next up, we’ll present the initial design concept – this is like a master plan that guides us throughout the entire process, so it’s pretty darn important! We’ll show you our key design ideas, inspirational images, sketches, scaled floor plans with layout options, and a preliminary selection of finishes. And finally, we’ll give you an indicative budget estimate so you’re in the know.​

Design development

And now for the magic. Invariably there are things that will need changing based on your feedback, so we’ll get busy refining so we can create the prefect design for you. We will also revisit the all important budget and work hard to identify cost projections to help align the design with expenses and make any required adjustments.

APPROVALS documents

Getting the nod of approval. In many circumstances we will need to get approval (council, strata, certifier) so we will develop the necessary documents to get us on our way.

Construction documentation

Time to get cracking. We will develop a full set of drawings for construction, including elevation drawings of joinery items. We’ll take the time to develop 3D views of it all too, as we know just how important it is for you to actually see what your space will look like. We’ll also supply a full schedule outlining details of all finishes, fixtures, fittings, furniture and equipment.​

Contract and construction administration

The dream becomes a reality.  Once the superstar contractors are approved and appointed (we can help you find them), we’re not going anywhere! We’ll be on hand to assist throughout the construction process – including attending site, liaising with tradies, reviewing construction drawings, responding to queries, managing orders, defect rectification…and doing anything else we need to do to ensure your project runs like clockwork.​

MOVING IN PARTY

Bust out the bubbles..it’s time to party. The finishing touches are done and so now it’s time to enjoy! We live and breathe design, so for us there’s nothing more satisfying that seeing you happy with the end result.
